Training Philosophy

Training Philosophy

This blog has been created based on the findings of 6 a year program  interacting with top levels athletes. It helped and still does athletes to win the podium in various throwdowns/ competition or even earn a spot at regional. Programming for these athletes helped us to understand what really worked and gave us an insight on the most efficient ways to prepare athletes to transition from intermediate to Advanced athletes.

The basics that underline our training system is the following :

·         Increase in Maximum Strength
·         Increase in Strength Speed (Olympic weight lifting)
·         Acquisition and continuous practice of skills i.e. Handstand and handstand walk
·         Increase in Cardiovascular Endurance
·         Variety and endless metcon scenarios, that will be the basis of your training

By continuously evolving at yearly basis all the above, athletes will experience the results of their training soon enough.  There is no need to follow the blog religiously, if you feel sore one day, make sure to take a day off and hit training again the other day. What matters most is the intensity of our workouts rather than the volume. That means that Quality is of top importance. Make sure you enjoy your training and have a positive thinking. Training is all about preparing for Competition, what you do in training pays off during competition !
